Hi All,
I will travelling with my wife and 2 children (age 7&8) from 17th Dec to 24th Dec. I've 7 days on my trip and would like to maximize it where ever posible.
My plan is to Visit Mel. and Sydney. We love adventures and i woudl like to drive from Mel. to canberra then to sydney and back to Mel. since my internationla flight out is from Mel.

I need help on below question;
1. Should I book my accomodation now?
2. Should I book my car now since it's chritmas time and is possible pls. advice contacts if you have any.
3. Places of interest that i should not miss at Mel. Canberra & Sydney.
4. How the wheather looks like at this time?
5. Would it be possible to see snow if i were to travel to any mountian along the way?

Thank you

I wouldn't worry to much about booking accomodation on the way. When i was there with my dad we actually did alot of camping and it was fantastic. It was cheap and fun. The idea of campgrounds there are completley different than north america. Most of the time you can rent a camper for quite a reasonable price. There are lots of activities for kids and they normally have a salt water pool. I would grab a lonely planet book for the area you want to travel in. These books are a life saver! They give a reliable review as well as the stats of the place and contact info.

I think December is closer to their summer time so for snow you'll have to be more towards Sydney, but you may not see any.
There are so many cool things to do and see there, just go explore.

Have a great trip !!
Cheers
Sara

Next stop...los cabos, Mexico!!
