Premier Inn
Deansgate Locks
Manchester

28th  - 29th October 2008

I stayed here, for the locality, to an Exhibition at Manchester Central (G-Mex).
Automatic, doors, to reception.
Staff are friendly and very helpful. (explaining the layout of the hotel) Bar and restaurant, to the left, lifts (two) to the right. Lifts are operated with the room door access card.
My room was on the second floor, overlooking, the car park  (at the front, of the hotel).
Room was clean, with Telephone, Tea/coffee making things, heater, flat screen TV, Desk, two chairs, double bed, bathroom (over bath shower) towels, provided.
Hotel, is surprisingly, very quiet, considering, it is in the centre of the city.
Hotel floor coverings, are “short pile” carpet, which makes manoeuvring a wheelchair, easy.
The restaurant, is used for all meals, (at good prices) (during my stay, the waitress arranged me to have my photo taken with some of the International Athletes, that where staying, at the hotel).
The staff arrange a taxi, for me, for my trips into Manchester.
(I propelled myself, to and from, the exhibition, as it was not far) the pavements, have “dropped” kerbs and are pretty good (some uneven tarmac or slabs) crossing the VERY BUSY roads (at crossings) and navigating the ,  , tram lines, was an adventure.
One night, I took a taxi to (£4) China town, for a meal.  How helpful people are !!! As a (active) wheelchair user, I didn’t find any obstacles, on my visit.
I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
Premier Inn, have a few establishments, in Manchester city centre
