Janjanbureh Lodge, Janjanbureh, Gambia.

Opposite the island, with a boat service, across the river, FREE OF CHARGE.

The camp consists of 27 thatched huts, with NO electric (lanterns and candles, will be supplied) or HOT water,  Toilet and shower, is  piped from a collection tank, fed from a borehole, double and twin beds, small toilet/shower room, mosquito nets on all openings.
A very pleasant place to stay, and GOOD value.
Monkeys visit the grounds, of the Lodge, on a regular basis, plus there are boat trips, to visit the area, along the river.
The camp has a restaurant, right on the river bank, So lovely views, across to the island.

Hi

We never got to go to Janjanbureh Lodge although  we were in  Gambia for 2 weeks, I bet it was a great experience, I took lots of photos of green Vervet monkeys whilst we were there, but mainly I went every day bird watching, look forward to seeing your photos as it sounds absolutely beautiful, that's pretty good a free ride on the boats, did you go on it? the link you have left doesn't work, so I haven't seen the site
