Hotel Hilton Danube, Vienna, Austria
November 30th- December 2nd.
A huge Hotel, right on the banks of the Danube.
Within walking distance of the subway stations into the city.
The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly.
The service is excellent. (being a wheelchair user, this very appreciated), and nothing was too much trouble.
Rooms are “MASSIVE” with (room 229) 2 queen beds, 2 armchairs, desk, 2 telephones, TV, tea and coffee making facilities, wardrobe, dressing table, large bathroom (over bath shower).
Wide doors, smooth or carpeted floors. Very elegant sculptures.
4 lifts, restaurant on lower floor (with views of the river), buffet and waiter service.
The food, is out of this world, with plenty of choice.
Austrian cakes and pastries, need I say more ???
Conference rooms on other floors (with views over the city or river).
Adapted rooms, for disabled, on request (didn’t view them, due to them being occupied)
Internet access in every room and in a dedicated “office” area.
I stayed here, during a visit to Messe Wien Congress Centre for a conference for E-inclusion.
This Hotel is on the middle outskirts of the city, very close to the Prater, with its Famous “Theme Park”
