A great way to see around Switerland (not as good as going) is to watch 'Swiss Railway Journeys' The Travel Channel  on Sky  263. It follows  different rail routes  within Switzerland, Mainline and Mountain routes but it is not confined to trains. Lots of beautiful  scenes  to be seen and a history of various  places  as you follow the route, loads  of things on there  you would never expect to find. Like the special plaques and street names in Meirigen commemorating  Sherlock Holmes and Proffessor Morriaty. Or how  did they build this  railway  up so high ect.    Try it

I'd love to go to Switzerland after I finish planning my Vancouver holiday. I'm really looking forward to the skiing but I don't want to go during the Olympics because it will just be too costly then. Looking at  accommodations prices is just scary during the games. Looking forward to seeing Switzerland too because I've only heard good things about it.

I agree, I spent my last holidays in Switzerland and I had a great time there! It's very clean. People are absolutely lovely and their welcome is unforgettable. I visited the country with a local and that was great. I liked Zurich. This city is much cleaner than any other cities in Europe.

Switzerland is the BEST!!!
