A great way to see around Switerland (not as good as going) is to watch 'Swiss Railway Journeys' The Travel Channel on Sky 263. It follows different rail routes within Switzerland, Mainline and Mountain routes but it is not confined to trains. Lots of beautiful scenes to be seen and a history of various places as you follow the route, loads of things on there you would never expect to find. Like the special plaques and street names in Meirigen commemorating Sherlock Holmes and Proffessor Morriaty. Or how did they build this railway up so high ect. Try it |
